"Close to the beach, harbor and Downtown" Ventura, and just 30 miles south of Santa Barbara, this destination with an "accommodating" staff and "small" steak-and-seafood restaurant pleases outdoorsy sorts with a swimming pool and nearby tennis courts; inside, however, reviewers report it's "showing its age, with "blah" rooms done up in "shabby" decor.

Pool was out of order.
This is a nice hotel. Nice grounds and beds. Clean. The property is very close to the harbor.

Good location.
The only good point about the hotel was its location. We got a room on the first floor that smelled funny, had handicapped bars around the restroom and the toilet, and no balcony or view.

Great location and very clean.
The television did not provide any of the Spanish speaking channels such as Univision or Telemundo.
I would recommend this hotel with the exception of letting people know that the cable service at the hotel does not include the Spanish speaking channels such as Telemundo and Univision. This was hard on my mother in law who went with us and enjoys watching the programs that are in the Spanish speaking channels. ...read more

Did not receive a king size bed.
We were given a room opposite a noisy equipment room. OK. Not the best location. I asked for a King size bed, didn't receive it, as they said they didn't have one available.
